It may now seem that japanese is a difficult language, but as is evident from the many foreigners that go to japan, that spoken japanese is not that difficult to learn. one will find that after a year in japan a good mastery of the language can be achieved.. Mostly depends on the languages you are familiar with. its always included in the 10 top most difficult languages one main reason why japanese is so hard is that the written code is different from the spoken code.. To make matters worse, and in spite of a huge amount of learning resources, there are very few good teachers abroad, and even less non-natives who speak japanese fluently, furthering the myth that this is an impossibly difficult language..
People often debate what is the hardest language in the world to learn. assuming your native language is english or one of the other indo-european languages like spanish, german, russian, or farsi, then an asian language like chinese, japanese, or korean is an obvious choice.. I have only started learning japanese (1 month ago) and so far i think japanese is very interesting and totally different from languages like german, english, french and spanish. that is why some people think it is more difficult but actually i think it is just kind of different .. The japanese language does sometimes differentiate meaning using a high-low distinction (what linguists call “pitch accent”), but the good news is that you do not need to learn a specific tone for each and every syllable like you do in languages like chinese..
